coogee beach instead...

woke up at about 9ish tis morning and was having my breakfast while typing my adventure yday. it went like tis

saw the time was 9:09am and without the usual lazing abt, i jumped out of bed. getting late. still gotto prepare breakfast and also lunches for the easter show. still, without fail, morning routine involves switching on the computer. saw the time on the computer to be 8:10am. oh yes, daylight saving....yayy....gained back 1 hr. got ready the sandwiches and fruits and then got changed, BUT instead of going for the easter show as planned, we (that is, my other half & me) changed our minds and made it for a movie at ritz cinema and then a picnic at coogee beach (to make use of the lunches we prepared). all that change of mind was cos i had to floss my teeth after we had an early lunch downstairs our place. not that i have to use up the whole day to floss my teeth and so we cant make it for the easter show but that gave us some more time to decide if we really wanted to go. we meant to go out directly after we had lunch but i had meat stucked in between my teeth and by hook or by crook, they must get out if not i cant go out. what's more, we seemed very half-hearted and "sim-tia" abt spending A$27 each for entry fee & train ride when we have already been to it once. probably going for a movie is a much wiser choice. we watched "hitch" which we wanted to catch even before it was opened. it was okay, i think the guys can relate and enjoy it better...like what i heard of.

the walk from the cinema to coogee beach was like walking down memory lane. we bumped into a domestic short-haired ginger colored cat on the pavement. though unlike meow meow's (my ex-housemate's cat that helped got rid of my feline phobia) color combination, he...she...oh sh*t, i didnt check the sex.... reminds me of times with meow meow. anyway, i got to pat him & took pics of him.

the beach was more crowded than the last time we went, which was last thursday. not surprising being a sunday afterall. there was a helicopter hovering around but we werent surprised since that's a common sight...helicopters are used for traffic forecast here. then, we saw a huge crowd of people up at the cliff where the heli stopped and then the whole group dispersed. we thought that might be some rescue operation going on but didnt care less. we sat down on the sand watching huge waves crashing in to the shore & creating white foam (as seen in beer), before walking up a cliff (opposite the one where the heli stopped). towards the end of the cliff, there was a cordoned patch where pics of Mary and a newspaper article. i scanned the article very quickly cos there were pple, more like tourists, who also wanted a closer look at the article. from my interpretation, some pple actually saw the image of Mary in white and blue robe at the end of the cliff in 2003, the date i forgot. apparently, some saw, some couldnt. though i m not a catholic, i wonder if i can see her. the best highlight of the day was tis spot halfway down the cliff, where there were steps u stand on, and the waves come crashing against the rocks and forming huge splashes. the sound and view were as spectacular as fireworks and more therapeutic than shopping.

before my heart leads me to some more places in the next few days, heres some pics taken yday for ya to enjoy.while the person typing tis, slowly makes her way to her bed to get some shuteye
