wednesday, 14 dec 2005: i liiiiiike!!!
went with mom to town to shop. we were at tangs beauty hall... yes, with mom and at tangs beauty hall, it has to be la mer we are there for. she wanted to try her luck again for a sample of their eye balm which cost more expensive than their already costly creme de la mer. 200++ bucks for a teeny weeny (if u compare that with other brands) quantity of eye cream. the jar is so tiny that its like a minature perfume (if we compare it to a bottle of perfume). and yes, once again, there's no sample. try better luck next time, mom. not surprising at all. i do know of some brands which dont practise giving away samples for sake of preserving quality. before i paint the pic that mom is such a horrid extravagant tai tai, the stuff (which is la mer i'm talking abt here) really works wonders. her wrinkled nose is almost no more. her nose is still there for christ's sake. and for girlies out there, pls dont start staring at mom's nose when u bump into her. :P
before we made our way out of tangs, we made a detour to shu uemura. i was contemplating of switching to haba cleansing oil after so many years of using shu. should i? anyone uses haba cleansing oil before, own up and lemme know if its good (and cheap too?).
the ecstatic part is abt to start. some of my friends might know tis. that is, i'm a great fan of jurlique and that its not available in singapore. exactly next to shu, where dr. hauschka used to be, (to my delight), i saw white, clinical, stark, not forgetting, familiar looking tubes and bottles. OMG!!!! my mood heightened. i was almost hysterical. i was smiling from ear to ear. i wish the sales promoter would leave me alone for a moment so that i can go to a corner to jump up & down. jurlique is organic and doesnt irritate the most sensitive skin (but pls dont quote me on that. do use your own discretion when it comes to slapping things on your skin, face or body, esp if u've sensitive skin). i like their best seller, herbal recovery gel, and everything rose from them. on impulse or out of excitement, i bought a rose hand care cream. its a lil pricey here but i liiiiiiike them so much that the price is secondary. they always say women are the best pple to earn money from. how true!!!! *sigh*

I agree--Jurlique is pretty great stuff. In fact, when I was looking around for products to market, my wife suggested Jurlique because she thinks it's the best skincare line out there--and she's definitely tried 'em all. Of course, it's quite difficult to get access to their product line, so instead we just use sites like this one for Jurlique stuff. I will even confess that I tried some of their men's products and got hooked on their foaming face cleanser and shaving gel. There--I've come clean. So--yes for Jurlique--a noble, earth-friendly company that really tries to make healthy, wholesome products.
I love the Rose Hand Cream esp for cold and dry Australia's Winter.
You know who!!!
"U know who", i love the rose scent (though sometimes i think it smells like bundung) and the light texture. i'll be buying a new tube soon. btw, its soooo much cheaper in syd.
