swissroll at the rocks

meant to make a trip to hurstville, to bring other half around. not that i'm familiar with the suburb. in fact, i was there jus once. hurstville is a suburb in new south wales where the chinese congregate. there're many chinese pple, many chinese shops and many chinese signboards. actually, the whole idea is to go somewhere out of the norm. enough of chinatown and pitt street mall. yep, i'm not joking, hurstville is more chinese than chinatown. blame on the routine track work on eastern suburbs line, there's no train to hurstville. no way we gonna take the bus (alternative provided by cityrail). bet its gonna take ages. with no choice or rather, with so many other choices available, we jumped from hurstville to pancakes on the rocks.

pancakes on the rocks, as the name suggests, is situated at the rocks. its quite a fair bit of walking to do to get from central station to the rocks, and being so hungry already, we hopped on a bus which brought us to circular quay in a jiffy. from circular quay, it was then a short walk to the restaurant which is situated at the end of the rocks. took a couple of pictures of some of my favourite things as we walked though the rocks. the rocks (in my opinion) is one of the most beautiful places in sydney, in terms of architecture. when we got to pancakes on the rocks, there was an incredibly long queue. we thought we were already there so might as well wait. it didnt take us long for our turn since the turnover rate was high. we were seated in a corner, against the wall, jus next to the cashier. so we basically see the crowd come and go. some came later than us but were out earlier than us. haha... we're slow eaters. we were pretty much settled on ordering ribs but we were so spoilt for choice with the pancakes. in the end, we decided on devils delight. will go back for the rest of the pancakes, like bananarama, strawberry patch, the ultimate, hot n troppo. *drool* devils delight is sweeeeet. very good. very rich chocolate pancakes with chocolate sauce (not overly drizzled). and then, there were my favourite strawberries. i took half of devils delight before embarking on the ribs. not afraid at all that i'd be too full for the ribs. i jus cant put down my cutlery.

treasure and enjoy the moment.
when its time to let go, LET GO.
