yo-yo
one day i'm leaving; the next day i'm staying put. as u can see, i'm yo-yo-ing between leaving and staying here in sydney.
there's so much back home luring me back but to think of the society's sterotypical frame of mind, same year-round weather and the work culture, i back out. not that i hate it. i'm born and raised there so there's no reason why i cant adapt to it. getting to work yesterday morning (must be the crisp morning air and traffic) set me thinking....
the work culture back home is very different from here. it is more laid back here and employees are treated with more respect, as individuals. unlike back home where they expect u to work overtime and not leave on the dot. and u're supposed to be good when u slog your life for them. being employed is like selling your life for good. alot of pple have the misconception that the aussies are a lazy bunch. its soooo not true. they do work hard but they dont go overboard. when its time to go, they go. i think in a way its good cos when u're at work, u can get carried away. there is jus tis much u can do in a day. obviously like anywhere else in the world, there'll be a proportion who are not what i jus commended but plain lazy.

there's nothing bad in leaving for singapore or staying here in sydney. we jus have to make the decision based on what's appropriate for us now and to make the best out of it.
argh. my computer is lagging so much... its like going back to 56Kbps connection. eh housemate, whatever happened to our broadband plan??? cant go without such luxury anymore. T__T
