singapore on foot

the best way to see and experience singapore is to do what the locals do, isnt it? as the saying goes, when u're in rome, do what the romans do. so the weekends were spent eating, drinking (water that is) and be merry shopping. perhaps not so much of the latter since we're talking abt showing a guy ard.

i didnt bring my digicam so no pics here. we only had half a day cos WT arrived at 3pm. we covered little india, suntec city, millenia walk and new asia bar at swissotel hotel. service at the latter badly needs improvement. with 20 bucks cover charge per pax, they can do something with service.

chinatown's raw fish porridge. the braised tofu is really delicious - for 2 bucks, its really value for money. the moment tis hello kitty bus drove past, the touristy behaviour in us appeared.

after serious perspiration, we settled under the bridge for very expensive ice treatment: ice-kacang, chendol and ice soursop jelly. total damage: 12 bucks!!!! the stall owner suspecting OH to be a local, warned him that its 4 bucks each. HA! conscience pricked?!!

responsible for the cleanliness of singapore's water.

2 days of touring singapore... its hell lot of a sweating experience.... esp for WT. seeing him sweat is seeing myself 1.5mths ago. other than the severe perspiration and walking under singapore's humid weather, we all enjoyed ourselves. nothing beats a good catch up session with pple u're comfortable with.
