the SP trail...
went to my alma mater, SP, last week. lemme share with u the pics i took with my not-so-fantastic-camera-phone the moment OH and i stepped foot into SP premises, via the gate adjoining dover mrt station.

tis is a bridge leading from the station to the campus. it is jus next to the auditorium near C4 (canteen 4 that is). there's also a convention hall and a pretty good looking CLS building nearby. not surprising that there're new buildings erected since it was so long ago that i graduated.

kitty hangout at between multi-purpose hall and clubhouse.

a spanking new canteen 3 (C3). not the usual dark and gloomy one in "those days". now that i'm uploading the pics, it reminds me of coffeebean.

one of few fountains outside C3.

such a nice learning environment!!! the kids these days are lucky. hohoho...to make such comments imply that i'm old.
i remember very clearly tis co-op shop (outside C3) was opened during my 3rd year. it used to be POSBank.

the striking-but-almost-hideous-looking yellow structure (which i have no idea if it has a name at all) that link 1 end of SP to the other.

i remember tis path that the girls and i sometimes took when the lift seems to take forever to pick us up from the basement.

walking along the yellow linkway to my department at the other end of the campus from dover mrt station.

approaching the library. new funky signage that implies only girls go to the library!!!

a peep into the library...a poor resolution one. we did go in to the library for a while but forgot to take any pics cos we were kinda engrossed with hushing each other.

one of the most frequently patronised co-op shops within the campus. 1 level down from the library entrance.

the administrative building opposite the library. principal sits in tis building. also where we pay our fees for the first few semesters until the payment counter was shifted to blk 1A (where maccas is).

popular waiting area before getting into any of the lecture theatres (mainly LT4, LT4a, etc)

continuing....after the waiting area above, tis leads to my department finally. cant remember what it was called previously. now its called CLS (chemical & life science).

nothing will erase my memories of these sheltered seats many of us used to hang out to do our group assingments or lab reports. then, there arent any shelters lah (in those days mah). pinky will remember tis one too!!! she was the mastermind of the "rain escape" during one usual group meeting session. till tis day, it still brings a smile to my face whenever i think of it.

food analysis lab...hung out alot in tis lab...doing my 3rd year project. is tis blk 1 or 2? tis lab also reminds me of mr lee kim pong. he was the lab technician who was so good to us. like a fatherly figure who often booked the lab for us. maybe he loves how the chocolate aroma fills his lab. my 3rd year project was on improving the nutritional value of chocolates.

another place that hold fond memories. ate here, did tutorials/project here, chit chat here, got bitten by mosquitoes here, celebrated our gang members' birthdays here, sometimes even napped here.

last but not least, here's presenting to u, MR LIM SWEE LING!!! our ve-ge-tay-ble guy. cos of the new CLS building at next to dover mrt station, many lecturers were busy (during the quiet sch hols) sweating out, moving the department over.

1 Comments:
Remember there was once when we walked pass the so-called striking-but-almost-hideous-looking yellow structure that link 1 end of SP to the other, and i made u sniff the wooden log (renovation) tied onto the both side of the walkway?
If yes, u will know who i am...
