funky monk

at every one time, there'll be at least one of us (among the 3 siblings that is) who stay home with our parents. it wasnt planned, its jus happened. within the last 2.5 years, i was away most of the time. during my absence, my second brother spent 6 months in HKU then he came back and went to stay at the hall, up till last week, so he's basically not at home too. leaving my third brother, who stayed home most of the time. soon, it'll be his turn to go away, to shanghai. for 2 full years. if i'm heading home, i've to make it before 21 august so as to see him, which i doubt i can make it. heard from mom he'll only be back for holiday during the chinese new year. if i'm home then, it'd have been 2 years since we last saw each other. to think of it, it has really been so long. i'm sure we all miss a complete family gathering. while one is in sydney, another in shanghai, my parents will be in the hands of my second brother who is currently enjoying himself in vietnam/cambodia/thailand. well, he deserves a break before devoting himself to his new job.

conversation between other half and myself while we were on our way home after yesterday's first hurdle on the other side of the harbour bridge.

swissroll:
*whine* i cant wait to play with those beaded necklaces when we get home...

other half:
like monk.

swissroll:
i'm not a monk lah. monks are botak and their beads are bamboo-ie brown in color. mine are not. they're colorful.

other half:
then u're a funky monk.

swissroll:
*laughs* (thinking how appropriate)
