other half: what size do u have in mind?
me: i'm thinking of 400 pixels in width.
other half: *turn to me with that mystified look and half smiling* everything with u is pixels.
me: *grin* yeah, i'm too used to using pixels when sizing pics for my blog.
other half: *teasingly* whats your height? 20,000 pixels
me: hehe... me and my pixels.
other half: i've to start using inches come september. (he was referring to aircraft)
i bet other half must be really excited abt his new job. doing something he has so much passion in. tis job will be very different from his previous. now, he'll focus on the interior of planes whereas he used to handle the exterior. i'm happy jus thinking abt it. so i can jus imagine how much more other half feels.
the second small talk took place on our way to glebe, when other half asked if i want a bite from KFC or whichever.
other half: *pointing to KFC across the road* u want a burger from KFC? or the 1.95 wicked wings?
me: dun wan. wicked wings full of flour only. whats more, very oily.
other half: or a zinger burger?
me: do they still have the snacker? u know, the mini burger?
other half: dont think so.
me: i miss burger buddies. oh dear, by saying that, pple can tell my age. haha.
btw, burger buddies was from burger king and it was tis 2 mini burgers joined side by side, like conjoined twins. i've always enjoyed having that with my classmates then. 2 girls could actually share 1 burger buddies. u take one and i take the other. its not like it taste fantastic or what but more of a novelty thing between the girlfriends and its small. ideal as a snack. i wish BK put it back on their menu, for old times' sake. yeah man, who m i?
the pics below were taken as we walked from railway square (jus outside central railway station) to glebe. not alot of pics taken cos the camera battery was low (13mins left). dont know why. it was charged last night. we were so worried that its shelflife might well be over.
st benedict's church. a catholic church.
the side of the church. the sign reads notre dame. wondering if there's any relation to notre dame cathedral in paris.
came by tis pathway that has quotes running across it.
one of the quotes: the best things in life arent things. things are not what they seem to be. (anyone understand the second line? enlighten me will u?)
approaching broadway shopping centre. beyond that will be glebe point road where glebe public school is.
came here to register our kid for kindergarten. haha. no lah, it was the saturday glebe market. here for vintage finds.
our first stop. lady in red is the boss.
candid shot of (my reflection) snooping ard for good bargains. i didnt even know it until we got home and was uploading to the computer. not a very pleasant expression i've got here (i enlarged it so that u can see it. maybe u still cant) but i must say it was a good shot (unusually artistic). tis pic didnt come easy (other half claimed so) for human traffic was high therefore tis pic is quite precious. there, i was holding my michelin suit.
some turkish prata with fillings. at an instant, i thought the lady bear a slight resemblance to mother teresa. (must be the white headscarf)
what a good business idea with strawberries in season. chocolate dipped strawberries with nuts, almond slices, choc rice, etc.
