fatty bom bom

yes yes, i'm a fatty bom bom liao. my face is bursting with fats. i think i look more chubby now than when i was a baby. looking at the pics taken today was a good reality check. see what winter has done to me (all cos its too freaking cold to do anything and to eat everything-body's reflex to cold as learnt from plysiology. trust me or the textbook. besides, i'm the best testimony).

no more brisk walking and jogging plus
not much perspiration plus
increased appetite plus
lotsa bingeing equals

chubby face!!!!

die lah!!! really fat neh but only on the face. okay, here's my birthday resolution. i must control my diet from now on. have a heavy brekkie high in GI, a moderate lunch and a light dinner. in between meals, i shall only have healthy snacks like unsalted nuts and fruits. and occasionally soft drinks and hot chips. best if i can skip it totally. sleeping early would help too cos staying up late means there's a chance i'd be hungry and i'll start ransacking the kitchen. arrgh. hope i stick to it. i know something might help, that is putting up my fatty bom bom pic on the fridge, on the kitchen cabinet, in my wallet (so that when i pay up for snacks at the cashier, i'll freak out and run away). i'm so going to do that. first, i must warn my housemate of the pics and tell him of my intention. i dont want to be stepping over puke all over the kitchen tiles or risks him thinking i'm so narcissistic. now, have a look at the stuff i stuffed myself fat.

Lunch at tai pei restaurant in chinatown

our favourite crispy chicken with minced meat rice and vegetables. the red sauce on the right is some vinegar and chilli sauce. its more sour than spicy. goes really well with the chicken. oops, i'm getting hungry.

zha jiang mian. not quite the usual one we had at the chinese restaurant in kingsford.

wanted something soupy so we ordered tis. hot and sour soup with vegetables. only vegetable was carrot and the rest mostly tofu. not up to my standard. and i specially requested it to be served really hot (temperature hot i mean) but it came lukewarm only. double bummer. crispy chicken is still by far their best dish.

GOAT on sale!!! came across tis after we trottered out of tai pei restaurant, full from lunch, heading towards the city to buy my hair wax. i supposed we only get to see tis in winter. heard eating goat meat is good for keeping warm. eeee... goat meat and mutton are not my cup of tea.

stopped by several second hand bookstores and kinokuniya to get some reading materials and then thought maybe its time to head home since most shops were closed for the day and so whats there to see. it was coming to 7pm and the road traffic could still be heavy so we decided to walk down to circular quay to buy some time and to take the bus from there. wrong move!!! our stomachs had finished digesting tai pei lunch and were yearning for dinner already. when u're at circular quay, which restaurant comes to mind? maccas, or if not, pancakes on the rocks. POTR never sleeps. 24 hours operational. good lah, u wont get impatient waitstaff trying all ways to chase u out (by asking u if they can clear your plate when there's still half a slab of steak on your plate, sweeping the floor, putting up the chairs on those empty tables) cos it's approaching closing time (when there's actually 30mins more) and so u ended up gobbling down your dinner; all for their sake that they can leave at 10pm (whatever closing time that is). the truth is u're getting paiseh and dont want the waitstaff to gossip behind your back should u visit the restaurant the next time. so POTR was afterall a good choice. good choice of restaurant, not a good choice in terms of losing weight. btw, tis losing weight resolution came only after other half and i had POTR, were taking pics against the harbour bridge and looking at the previews.

Dinner at POTR

the last time i had iced lemon tea was ages ago. its a rare find here. even maccas dont have them. can u believe it?

seafood crepe. tis one was yummylicious. quoting it from POTR webby: fillets of fish, tiger prawns and scallops in a creamy whitewine sauce wrapped into two french crepes. served with hollandaise sauce, cocktail sauce and mixed lettuce.

DESSERT: buttermilk pancake with chocolate syrup and ice-cream and walnut. its called hot n troppo. in my opinion, not as good as devil's delight.

hey, after staring long at the pics (due to resizing and uploading), i dont think i can give up eating. anyone knows of ways to reduce fats on the face (other than going under the knife)?
