an appt with 2 bedrms, 2 bathrms & at least 1 carspace & preferrably split level urgently needed!!!
i'm kinda in a stone mode today. weekends werent exactly relaxing (tis one at least). went househunting with my housemate yday and boy, it was stressful. not knowing the way and had to rely on a street directory which wasnt updated sucks. lets re-enact one scene (not exactly the same instructions but sort of. the idea is to look out for a roundabt and then to turn from there):
housemate: watch out for a roundabt and the 2nd junction from there, turn right.
housemate: watch out for a roundabt and the 2nd junction from there, turn right.
me: ........ (driving till the end of the road and came to a cross junction and no sight of roundabt. yes, i didnt really ask anything....probably did ask where is the roundabt and if i shld jus go straight. basically, i was jus doing my thing and receiving instructions from my "GPS").
housemate: okay, i think we missed the roundabt.
me: huh? no roundabt what. only pedestrain crossing.
housemate: lets cross the junction and come back on tis road again.
back on that road now, but in opposite direction and seeing our destination 300m away.
housemate: damn, they converted the roundabt to a traffic light.
me: -_-"
and no way from a street directory we could tell if it's a one way road, m i right? we probably drove into those a couple of times. there werent road signs. (now i know why there're signs in the states that say "wrong way, turn back") believe me. there were taxis or cars before us which did the same thing and they were more experienced drivers than me. how could they miss the sign? anyhow, i've been too pampered. have been chauffeured ard for as long as i remember. there were a couple of times when i didnt know anymore if i shld turn left or right, reverse or to go straight and what not. i jus felt like leaving the car. haha...that bad. thank God for my "GPS" who calmed my nerves. tis GPS is much better than the electronic one cos it speaks to u when u r bored and in my case, calm me down during a traffic crisis. sigh. the fatigue and stress probably made me drift in and out of a daze today. u think my brain is trying to unwind whenever it can? tis must be it.
i was scrolling down my blog....saw that my posts are decreasing by the day and then i stopped at the bangkok monitoring trip entry. i looked intently at the pics OH took of me in the supermarket. something was wrong (or rather the sight is somewhat unfamiliar) but i cant put my finger on it. then i realised i havent wore so little for a while. these days, i'm all wrapped up. only my face and fingers are exposed (i shld be wearing gloves too but i have none. how sad!). the bit abt unfamiliar? yeah, how often do we see our backviews? i tot: "hey, thats how i look from the back! hmmm..." i told u i'm in a daze today.
