God plans are best plans
finally found time and mood to do some update but i've no idea where to start.
okay, 1 thing at a time (jus the major events).
1) numerous saturdays - been viewing places. finally, we viewed one that was close to what we were looking for. fairly good location.....lotsa buses to city, shops, restaurants. we put in an application right after the viewing but news was that we didnt get it. by then, the entire househunting affair was starting to wear us out and we were getting really disheartened and quite unmotivated. then again, i tot, if its not meant to be, it wont be. i trust that God will put us up at a place where we belong. keep the faith! keep the faith!!! take heart that we are now familiar with suburbs we arent in the first place.
2) 19th july - birthday was tragic cos i went to work and then came back home. no cake, no nothing. had dinner and went to bed early.
:(
3) 22nd july - viewed a split level appt in zetland. fantastic place. not alot of buses but will do. very chic environment with parks. again, we put in our application on the same day. and AGAIN, gotto wait till monday to hear of news. as u probably already guess, sunday is awfully long.
4) 24th july - word from real estate agent that owner was still deciding. sigh. anxious.
5) 25th july - monitoring visit in melb. bound for the first flight out of syd at 6am but was stranded for 3hrs (in syd) due to a serious fog in melb (that is, plane only took off at 9am and touched down in melb at 10.30am. it was then still very foggy and i couldnt imagine how bad it must have been earlier on). got to site (hospital) soooo soooo behind schedule. no choice but to do what's impt and leave the rest till the next visit.
- housemate called while i was waiting to board the plane back to syd. boohoo!!! boohoo!!!! boohoo!!!! we didnt get the place. lost to an aussie guy. gotto start surfing the real estate websites and viewing places on saturdays, everything all over again. sigh. i remembered a voice msg from diners card from last nite and so took the chance while waiting to call them. frankly, i'm sick and tired of talking to them already. how many times do they have to call me??? they called me while i'm in the office, while i'm at home after work, and now in melb!!!??!! and how many types of questions do they have to ask? they're like fleas!!! u know, its only abt applying for a business credit card. after hanging up the phone, i jus sat there staring blankly, with tears in my eyes. tots were back to the house, that we didnt get it. i dont know what i was feeling then, i believe i was really drained. all i want is jus a roof over my head and my own personal space.
- jus then, my phone rang and it was the real estate agent. i told him i've already heard the news from my housemate. i tot how nice of him to call me to emphasize that we didnt get the place. tsk tsk. he then cut me in and said he had good news for me. aussie guy preferred somewhere else and so the owner went for his second choice and thats us!!! wooohh, my mood lifted and i could hear myself speaking a pitch higher. haha. i thanked him and immediately texted my housemate (and other half) b4 getting on the plane. all i could think of was "what a twist of events!!!" i rested my head right next to the window, looking out as the plane taxi to the runway, took off and then climbed up into the sky amidst fluffy clouds.....nothing different from the usual but tis time i had a smile on face and felt a sense of relief. thank God!
6) 28th july - sent my car away. not an ordinary car but one that kept me company through treacherous journeys to & back from work (heavy traffic and constant changing road conditions due to building of tunnel). i dont maintain a talking (i do whine abt the rain at times for eg...if u consider that talking) relationship with her such that i'm missing her now. its really the companionship during tis (rather short) period of stepping out of comfort zone, venturing into new terrain. i will miss her and also remember her fondly. i now understand the bond between car and car owner. i wont look at a mitsubishi magna the same way again.
